Picking a company name is hard … you want something catchy, memorable and meaningful … something that will endure. I banged around that bucket for months (and months … and months). Then, one beautiful summer evening, as I sat on my patio enjoying a refreshing beverage, watching my chickens scratching around in the yard, making up complex chicken dramas as I watched them … in the YARD … doing their BIRD thing … it hit me.
You’ll let me know a bit about your materials (# of shirts, fronts and backs, etc.) and a general size you’d like to have. I’ll send a high-level quote based on that information.
If you’re comfortable with the price range, I’ll provide the information for shipping your materials (if you’re local, I’ll pick them up). Once I have those in hand, I’ll perform a thorough review then create a rendering of your quilt in my quilt design software. You’ll have the opportunity to tweak that design if need be.
Once we’re all set on the design, I’ll send a service agreement … you’ll sign that and pay your deposit and we’ll get started!
Depending on scheduling, I’ll ship (or deliver) your quilt in 10-14 weeks. (Graduation season and the holidays are going to see the longer lead times).
I will travel for pick up and delivery within 150 miles of Bloomington, Illinois. There will be a travel fee assessed based on distance, fuel and maintenance costs and an hourly rate. That fee will be due on the day of travel.
Absolutely! To date, my client base includes folks from Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Arizona and Utah. Raw materials and finished projects can be safely shipped and tracked from anywhere in the US.
